Alaa Minawi is an installation and performance artist who started his career as a light designer and scenographer before shifting toward making his own installations and performances. Since 2016, Alaa has been exploring the possibilities of merging installation and performing arts. Alaa holds a bachelor of arts in communication arts from the Lebanese American University and a master of arts degree in Fine Arts from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (HKU). Alaa is a lecturer at HKU, Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and Sandberg Institute.
