Born and raised in Beirut. Ely Graduated with an MA in New media and contemporary Art Studies from Goldsmiths College in London. He has been active in the arts world working on various projects juggling between different points of identification and visual structures, from surrealism, science fiction and the occult.    In 2015 Ely’s short film “Waves ‘98” was screened all over the world in renowned festivals such as Sundance and TIFF and was awarded the prestigious Palme D’Or at the 68th Cannes Film Festival.
