The call is open to Arab individuals living in the Arab region or in diaspora and to local, regional and international institutions whose projects are related to contemporary Arab culture.
For cinema applications, a non-Arab producer can apply for a grant provided that the film director is Arab. It is preferred that film projects have producers attached to them. The producer or the director may apply for the grant.
Music and RTR applications must be submitted online no later than September 1st, 2013. Cinema Applications must be submitted online no later than August 1st, 2013. The results will be announced on November 15th, 2013. Applications can be submitted in either Arabic or in English.
The next call for Literature, Visual Arts and Performing Arts will open on November 1st 2013.
AFAC is now accepting Applications for its new special program: AFAC's Documentary Program.
This program will support short, medium and feature-length documentary projects exploring the social realities in the Arab world. The filmmaker must be an Arab. A non-Arab producer can apply for a grant provided that the film director is Arab.
Applications are only available in English and should be submitted online before the 21st of July 2013. The winners will be announced in October 2013.
