The Arab Fund Documentary Film Program is a partnership between the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program (DFP). This program is dedicated to supporting contemporary nonfiction films produced by filmmakers targeting the audience in the Arab World.

Individuals and organizations working in filmmaking are invited to send in their proposals for development, production and post-production nonfiction films. A committee of independent international and regional experts will assess the received proposals and will make recommendations from projects submitted by filmmakers.

To apply, you are required to

1. Fill in the application form in English. Applications will be evaluated by an international jury including members who are non-Arabic speakers. Application form and guidelines are available of the “how to apply” page on our website www.arabculturefund.org

Incomplete proposals will not be reviewed.

The Arab Fund for Arts & Culture aims at stimulating and supporting artistic creativity and freedom of cultural expression in the Arab World. 

The Arab Fund for Arts & Culture (AFAC) is a non profit organization providing direct financial assistance to independent artists and cultural institutions across the Arab region.

AFAC invites individuals, NGOs, cultural and educational organizations, governmental bodies and private companies working in culture and arts in the Arab World to send in project proposals in the fields of:

1. Independent Filmmaking

2. Performing Arts 

3. Visual Arts

4. Literature

5. Research

6. Capacity Building and Training 

7. Regional Cultural Events, Regional Exchange and multi disciplinary projects

 

The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture welcomes your project proposals for 2009 starting April 1st until August 31st 2009.
