The International Documentary Film Festival - Cinéma du Réel organized by the Public Information Library at Centre Pompidou announced its official selection for its 2017 edition running from 24th March to 2nd April. The selection includes 43 films (30 films will be presented in World Premiere) within 4 competitive sections, selected from more than 2800 films submitted this year, from 135 different countries. Three AFAC-supported films will be competing at this year’s Cinéma du Réel Festival: Ghost Hunting by Raed Andoni which will be competing with 10 other films selected for the International Competition while Sarah Srage’s debut feature documentary Wled Beirut will compete in the First Films International Competition along with On the Edge of Life which is also the first film of Yaser Kassab.
Parallel to the main themes of the Festival’s programme, the special screenings include Mohanad Yaqubi’s AFAC-supported film Off Frame.
