Amal’s Garden in Cinema du Réel - 06 Mar, 2013
AFAC grantee Nadia Shihab’s film “Amal’s Garden” was selected in the official international short films competition at the International documentary film festival Cinéma du réel.
The 35th edition of Cinema du réel will be running in Paris from the 21st to the 31st of March 2013, showcasing 42 films representing 21 countries in the various official sections of the festival.
Shihab’s film received AFAC ADFP grant in 2012. It is a touching portrait of an aged couple moving forward in a new Iraq, her film is a lyrical and intimate documentary on companionship, memory and new beginnings |
