AFAC is now accepting applications in the Performing Arts category as part of its 2018 general grants program.
The call is open to Arab individuals living in the Arab region or diaspora and to local, regional and international institutions whose projects are related to contemporary Arab culture.
AFAC’s General Grant for Performing Arts is open to classical, folk, and experimental theatre for all age groups including children and youth; dance performances, including but not restricted to contemporary dance; public intervention performances, street art, live art, interactive and site-specific format, documentary theatre, and festivals. It also supports playwriting, acting, directing, dancing, and choreography workshops.
Performing Arts applications must be submitted online no later than 1 May, 2018. The results will be announced during the last week of July, 2018. Applications can be submitted in either Arabic or English.
This year, AFAC has allocated a total of $300,000 in grants. The grantees will be selected by a jury committee of experts and artists from different backgrounds and nationalities from across the region. For the previous Performing Arts jurors, click here
